Twirlpaper.com goes live!

Our first project, Twirlpaper Wallpaper Changer, is live!

One final marathon session to squash a login bug on the client, and the code is now done.  Twirlpaper.com has been uploaded for a few days now, but it wasn't until today that the TWC client was rev'd up to version 1.0.0 and released.

I've put up a selection of interesting images culled from the public domain and Creative Commons sources to seed the wallpaper collection, including images from Wikipedia's Picture of the Day, NASA Images, the European Southern Observatory, Flickr, and public-domain-image.com.  This should prime the pump to get users uploading their collections to the site.

Technology colophon (not including those already mentioned from bringing up LeoEngine.com): Python, WxPython, Boa Constructor, Python Imaging Library, Py2Exe, UPX, NSIS, Mantis Bug Tracker, FamFamFam Silk icons, Coppermine Photo Gallery.

Time to take a break and relax.  I will return and blog about the non-technical details behind TWC soon.
